Criminological Assessment
The Advent eLearning platform can be configured to include a criminological assessment feature allowing the assessment to be an integrated part of the offender evaluation and qualification for an Out of Court Resolution (OoCR), or a decision to pursue other avenues for justice. Criminological assessment procedures and requirements differ from agency to agency, so Advent eLearning has built-in flexibility to accommodate your methods of assessment into your agencies’ unique configuration or the platform.
Here's How It Works
Assessing an individual’s qualification for an OoCR the risk level of the individual is generally assessed by identifying the number of known risk factors that exist for an offender which provides a risk rating of low, moderate, or high.
Once risk has been identified, the level of risk must be matched to the intensity of treatment. Low risk clients will require little to no intervention, whereas high risk clients will need more intensive treatment to achieve improved outcomes.
Criminological assessments may start with a risk score (lowest to highest) and then the officer picks that value when they assign an intervention. But "intensity of treatment" should match that risk score, so maybe 1s and 2s get a digital intervention, 3s go to counselling, 4s go to inpatient rehab or may be arrested. Methods of evaluation vary, but Advent can work with your agency to accommodate your needs.
